The Charales de Chapala Sports Club celebrated its 25th anniversary on Sept. 11 with the presentation of the new uniform to be worn during the 2025-2026 season of the Third Division Professional League (TDP).

Players, authorities, sponsors, and families from the club’s training school gathered on the Chapala Malecón, under the historic Salate de Felisa, the iconic tree near the Beer Garden, for the celebration and the presentation of the new uniforms designed by Alejandro Pérez and his ADN Sports team. It is a tribute to the first uniform worn in 2001, featuring red and white colors, as well as presentations in blue, gray, and purple. It is made with high-quality fabrics, a silicone patch, and OTF numbers (Open Type Font; a common digital font used on sports jerseys) inspired by those from the 1986 World Cup, held in Mexico.

For Francisco Rojas Muñoz, president of the club, wearing this jersey is a symbol of community identity. “It is the skin of our municipality, the representation of Chapala and its people. Every time you wear it, remember that you are carrying with you the strength of the community and the tradition of those who built this club over 25 years,” he said.

Chapala President Alejandro de Jesús Aguirre Curiel emphasized that Charales is not just a soccer team, but a regional emblem. “It has been a quarter of a century of passion, effort, and growth. Charales is a symbol of pride for our region,” he said.

The president also shared on social media that this jersey represents identity, passion, and unity, thanking the fans for being “the soul of the team.”

Coach Érick Gutiérrez celebrated the team’s victory in its first away game on Sept. 13 against Nacional, with a score of 1–0. All the points earned, he said, are the beginning of a competitive cycle in Group 13, where only four teams will qualify.

“We are in a very competitive group, but I am confident that we will be among those who qualify,” he said.
