The local Titanes team won the grand final of the 1st Beach Soccer Tournament on Chapala boardwalk, kicking off a scene of a sporting celebration on Friday, Oct. 24.They edged the  Mariscos Arturo’s team 8-7 in the championship game in front of a heering crowd from the Chapala community that has followed the sport week after week.

The awards ceremony was led by Professor Alejandro Chávez Márquez, the tournament director, who presented the trophy and a financial incentive to the winning team, recognizing their efforts and performance throughout the competition.

In a prelude to the grand final, the Ahijados defeated the Galácticos by the same score of 8-7, winning third place.

The success of the event and the public’s response consolidate beach soccer as a new sporting tradition in Chapala, with a view to future editions that continue to strengthen the social fabric and community entertainment.
