Professional cyclist Luis Francisco Villa Medina is preparing for an intense start to 2026. After joining the Tenis Stars team from San Francisco del Rincón, Guanajuato, the San Juan Cosalá rider has set his schedule for the first quarter, aiming to cement his place among the country’s top cyclists.

Villa will open the season in early February in Coahuila, then compete in Tijuana, Baja California, later that month. In mid-March, he returns to Jalisco to race in Zapopan, and he will finish the quarter in Delicias, Chihuahua, in late March.

At 27, Villa Medina, who holds National Olympic titles and earned a spot on the Pan American Games team, stays optimistic about how he will perform under his new team’s guidance.

“I feel like I’m off to a strong start this season. Last week, I began explosive training to get into rhythm; I still have a month of preparation ahead,” Villa said in an interview with Semanario Laguna.

With support from Tenis Stars, Villa aims to surpass his previous achievements and use the motivation of this new season to reach the top of the podium in each scheduled race.
