The Charales de Chapala secured a spot in the playoffs of the Third Division Professional League (TDP) after a scoreless draw against H2O Purépechas in the second leg of the round of 32. The match took place on Saturday April 25 at the Juan Rayo Municipal Stadium and confirmed the advantage the Jalisco team earned in the first leg.

With this result, the Chapala team advances to the round of 16 with a 3-1 aggregate score. The home side controlled the pace and kept strong defensive order during the 90 minutes, stopping the Michoacán team from turning the series around.

The team secured its advantage last Wednesday April 22 in Morelia where the Charales won on the road with three goals. In that match, Agustín Radillo and Elías Ramírez scored, and an own goal by Brandon García added to the lead. This result allowed the team to return to Chapala with a comfortable margin, which they defended in the second leg.

With this win, the Charales de Chapala stand out as strong contenders in group 13 and move closer to the final rounds.

On April 29, the Charales will visit La Piedad Imperial at Club Azteca in Michoacán. This match will serve as the first leg of the round of 16 where the Chapala team will seek a good result to improve on past seasons.

It is worth noting that the Charales took a key step in the playoffs with their 3-1 road win over H2O Purépechas in the first leg, a result that gave them a strong advantage heading into the final match after showing their strength away from home.
