For the first time in history, Jalisco will host all events of the 2026 CONADE National Paralympics, bringing together more than 4,500 para-athletes from the country’s 32 states, along with representatives from the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) and the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
The competition will run from Sept. 20 to Oct. 10 at venues throughout Jalisco. The 11 disciplines will use facilities including the CODE Revolución, Alcalde, Paradero, and López Mateos sports complexes; the Metropolitan Aquatic Center; and the JVC Circuit, which includes Chivas Stadium.
The 11 disciplines are paratriathlon, boccia, para-swimming, para-powerlifting, goalball, wheelchair basketball, para-cycling, blind soccer, para-table tennis, para dance sport, and para-athletics.
Jalisco will seek a 21st consecutive national championship after winning the previous 20 titles.
Jalisco enters as the defending champion, having won 283 gold medals and 494 medals overall in 2025. Its results included 133 gold medals in para-swimming, 97 medals in para-track and field, and 27 medals in para-powerlifting.
The state delegation will include 67 athletes with disabilities identified through Sports Academies in municipalities outside the Guadalajara metropolitan area.
State sports authorities said that staging every discipline in a single state for the first time will pose a major logistical challenge.
Paratriathlon will take place at the Chivas Stadium Circuit; boccia at CODE Alcalde; para-swimming at the Metropolitan Aquatic Center; and para-powerlifting and para dance sport at the CODE López Mateos Multipurpose Gymnasium.
CODE Revolución will host goalball, blind soccer, para-table tennis, and some wheelchair basketball games. Additional wheelchair basketball games will take place at CODE Alcalde and the CODE López Mateos Multipurpose Gymnasium.
Para-cycling will take place at the Chivas Stadium Circuit and the CODE Paradero Velodrome. The CODE Revolución Track will host para-athletics in the junior, senior, and elite categories.
Competing at home, Jalisco will pursue its 21st consecutive national championship.
